I am a medical negligence solicitor. I help people who have claims arising from:
I qualified as a solicitor in 2002 after graduating from the University of East Anglia and Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford. I joined Gotelee in 2002.
Before becoming a solicitor, I trained as a nurse. I worked in all areas of nursing both in the NHS and private sectors for 20 years. After raising my family, I re-trained as a solicitor and now specialise in Medical Negligence Claims. My medical background is a great advantage in this area of practice.
I deal with a wide range of medical claims against GPs, hospital clinicians in both the NHS and private sectors, dentists and opticians.
I act for clients who have suffered an injury as result of medical mis-treatment themselves or where family members have died as a result of mis-treatment, bringing claims on behalf of the deceased’s estate and under Fatal Accidents Act.
I also represent the families of those who have been failed by state institutions such as Social Services or Mental Health Trusts under the Human Rights Act. I regularly represent families at Inquests.
My extensive experience in the medical and legal professions gives me a unique ability to assess the merits of a claim and help my client through the sometimes complex legal process of making a medical negligence claim. I understand the distress and sense of mistrust that my client’s experience when they have had sub standard treatment and suffered losses as a result. I do my best to make the process as easy as possible.
